I’ve spent decades in the marketing world, helping businesses tell their stories. But this time, it’s personal. Hi, I’m Nicole, usually Alissa is the one writing these articles.
I’m the person behind the marketing at Frequency Hearing, and I can relate on so many levels to the incredible work that Alissa and her team do. I’ve seen firsthand how hearing loss can affect someone’s life—because my husband is one of those people. And, like many of you, we’ve gone through the ups and downs of finding the right hearing aids.
When my husband was first diagnosed with hearing loss, we did our research. We met with professionals, tried out different hearing aids, and eventually found ones that worked well for him. The difference was life-changing. I saw how his world opened up again, how he reconnected with the things he loved, and how his confidence grew. But here’s the thing—those hearing aids weren’t cheap. We paid a fair bit for them, but we knew we were investing in quality and care.
That’s why, when I started seeing super cheap hearing aids advertised online and in big box stores, I was shocked. These ads promised hearing aids for a fraction of the cost we had paid, and honestly, it made me curious. How could they offer hearing aids so cheap? Was there something we had missed? Were we overcharged?
So, I did what any savvy consumer would do—I investigated.
And what I found was surprising, to say the least. These “deals” weren’t exactly lies, but they were definitely misleading. The low prices were a hook, but as I dug deeper, I realized that almost everything came with an extra cost.
By the time all these “extras” were added up, the total price was very close to what we had originally paid for my husband’s high-quality hearing aids. But here’s the kicker—you know what was missing from that “bargain” package?
At Frequency Hearing, the focus isn’t just on selling hearing aids. It’s about providing real care—listening to your concerns, answering your questions, and making sure your hearing aids work for you. It’s about walking alongside you on your hearing journey, not just selling you a device and disappearing.
These cheap online or big-box deals? They don’t offer that kind of service. They don’t offer the expertise or the follow-up care. And let’s be honest—hearing loss is personal. It affects your life, your relationships, your confidence. You deserve more than just a cheap device. You deserve a team that’s invested in helping you truly hear and live better.
So, if you’ve been tempted by those too-good-to-be-true prices, I get it. But trust me, it’s worth looking beyond the price tag. At Frequency Hearing, you’ll find real people who care about your hearing health—not just your wallet.
If you or someone you love is struggling with hearing loss, give us a call or stop by. The team is ready to chat about what’s best for you. You deserve nothing less.
